Do you believe in healing?

Have you ever prayed for someone, and they did not get better, or they died anyway?

I have prayed for people that were very close to me that got sick, and they did not get better.  I felt like they would have been healed if I had had enough faith.  It was a terrible feeling.

After praying fervently, searching the scriptures and digging for answers, peace has finally come to me.  We can pray for healing, but it still has to be God’s will.  Our faith is not going to override His divine will.

If we believe that God is in control, then He has either caused something to happen or He has allowed it to happen.  Either way, He is in control.  We can pray for healing and leave it in His hands.  Regardless of circumstances, if we give it up to Him, we will experience His peace and comfort in our lives. 

Instead of fighting and arguing with God, I finally let it go and acknowledged that He is in control, and it is in His hands not mine.

The first time I let it go, I felt such relief and overwhelming peace that I cannot even explain it.  I know he heard my fervent prayers, and it was now completely in His hands, not mine.

*This is the confidence we have in approaching God:  that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.
