God Spoke To Me Through His Word!!

Apr 18, 2024 | Daily Thoughts | 2 comments

Early in the morning on April 11, 2024, I was praying and studying the Scriptures.  I had been praying for something very near and dear to my heart for a very long time and had received no answer.  On April 1, 2024, I received confirmation that God had heard my prayers when He came to see me.  On April 11, 2024, he spoke to me through His Word and led me to Nahum & Habakkuk.

*The Lord is Good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him.

-Nahum 1:7 (NIV Study Bible)

*See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright – but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness-

NIV text notes:  2:4, the righteous person will live by faithfulness…In light of God’s revelation about how (and when) he is working, his people are to wait patiently and live by faith – trusting in their sovereign God.

-Habakkuk 2:4 (NIV Study Bible)

*yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.  The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

NIV text notes: 3:18-19, Habakkuk has learned the lesson of faith (2:4) – to trust in God’s providence regardless of circumstances.  He declares that even if God should send suffering and loss, he would still rejoice in God his Savior – one of the strongest affirmations of faith in all Scripture.  3:19, makes my feet like the feet of a deer.  Gives me sure-footed confidence (see Ps 18:33).

-Habakkuk 3:18-19 (NIV Study Bible)

I still do not have an answer for what I requested, but I have the assurance that I am to trust in the Lord regardless of circumstances!  Knowing that He has heard me, that He loves me is answer enough!
